The 2019 Joint Meeting and Enlarged Meeting of the Presidents of Guangdong Machinery Industry Association and Guangdong Electrical Industry Association was held on December 12 at Zhuhai Kangjin Electric Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Zhongshe Robot Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Zhongshe Intelligent) was invited to attend.

The meeting was chaired by Executive Vice President He Xiangji. Mr. Wu Guocheng, Vice President of Guangdong Machinery Industry Association and Chairman of Kangjin Electric, delivered a passionate speech as the host and warmly welcomed everyone. The presidents, vice presidents and representatives of key enterprises attending the meeting talked about the business situation of the enterprises, analyzed the current economic environment and the development opportunities brought by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area strategy, and also discussed the multi-party exchange and cooperation, mutually beneficial and win-win model, discussed the expansion of the association's service platform, promoted in-depth cooperation among member enterprises, and helped the industry transform and upgrade.

The current economic situation is complicated and the whole industry is moving forward under pressure. A number of key enterprises such as Zhongshe Intelligent, Baiyun, Haihong, Kangjin, and Shunte have worked hard to improve their internal strength, adhered to technological innovation, and achieved growth against the market trend. Minister Xie Jiacheng of Zhongshe Intelligent and others shared their successful experience in achieving high-quality development through technological innovation at the meeting.

During the meeting, relevant government departments communicated recent policy information and learned about the industry situation to provide reference for the government to formulate policies. The meeting also discussed matters such as cooperative training of high-skilled talents and evaluation of the level and ability of professional and technical personnel. This year, the association launched the certification of high-quality products (quality boutique) in the machinery industry of Guangdong Province, aiming to encourage enterprises to implement innovation-driven, strengthen technological innovation and product innovation, adopt advanced quality management methods, comprehensively improve product quality and efficiency, and continuously enhance the economic innovation and competitiveness of the machinery industry in our province. The evaluation of the machinery industry science and technology award, the formulation and revision of group standards and other work are progressing steadily. The association has also obtained the functions granted by the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, such as the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements and the recommendation of provincial science and technology awards, to contribute to the promotion of scientific and technological progress in the industry.

The atmosphere was sincere and harmonious, and the speeches were active and enthusiastic. This joint meeting of presidents set the tone for the association's work in 2020.
